Want to try your hand at bread and pastry making? This one-of-a-kind class taught in Tarboro NC at Alimentaire Wholesome Bread Bakery, will give you the basics of working and baking with sourdough so that you can enjoy fresh baked goodness straight out of your own oven. In  addition to this hands-on experience, you'll get to hear and learn more of the passion that fuels in Franca her long-standing love affair with food, and all things wholesome and natural. Plus, you'll leave with recipes, dough made by you and a freshly baked loaf to enjoy at home!

All materials for the class will be provided. All that's required of you is a love for learning and the taste of true wholesomeness (and, if you choose, your favorite adult beverage, because with what else would you wash bread down!)

See below for our next scheduled class.

In these classes, you will:

  • Learn the fundamental skills for a lifetime of great baking.

  • Work side-by-side with Franca and Steve and other students to prepare each dish

  • Interact with classmates in a casual, welcoming environment for a rich learning experience.

  • Take home recipes, a list of equipment used, helpful notes, and more.

  • Most classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and feature a complete, seasonally inspired menu.

  • Students are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine or other beverage of their choice.

BONUS! Afterwards, the amazingly, talented and especially wonderful Inez Ribustello will be providing a wine pairing to taste as we sample your handmade hard work!
